ACSI SPEECH MEETSpeech Meet is an annual event sponsored by ACSI. This contest gives students an opportunity to showcase their speaking skills in the following categories: Dramatic Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Original Oratory (persuasive), Expository Speaking (informative), Humorous Interpretation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Reader's Theatre, Bible Reading, Devotional Homeletics, Interpretation of Children's Literature, Individual Acting, and Duet Acting. ASHLAND TRIPIn September of each school year, the students in AP Literature take a three-day trip to Ashland, OR. While there, students attend three plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

NATIONAL BOOK MONTHThe month of October is National Book Month. Students and staff participate in a wide variety of book-related activities, including guest speakers and professional storytellers.

POETRY OUT LOUDPoetry Out Loud is a national poetry recitation contest sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.. High school students participate in a campus competition, and the champion will move on to represent our school at county, state, and national competitions.
